Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Skills Development

August 16 - 27
This camp will provide activities that will include a focus on communication skill building, encouraging appropriate social skills, and the importance of health and wellness and physical activity.

Grades 1 - 4: 9:15 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. @ St. Martin School
Grades 5 - 8: 1:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. @ Pope John Paul II School

Junior Skills

August 16 - 27
This program will support students who require interventions in the areas of Math, Language and Technology. Activities will also support healthy social/emotional development and mental and physical well-being.

Grades 3 - 6:

12:45 p.m. - 3:15 p.m. @ St. Martin School

7-8 Skills

August 16 - 27
This program is for students entering grade 7 or 8 who would benefit from interventions in math and language. Students will have an IEP with modifications in Math and/or Language. Activities will also support healthy social/emotional development and mental and physical well-being.

Kindergarten Skills

July 19 - 30 / August 16 - 27
This program will provide rich experiences to support the development of skills needed for academic and social success for students transitioning to Full Day Kindergarten in September.

Primary & Junior Pathways

August 16 - 27
This camp will help students understand their strengths and their needs, and to develop skills and strategies to overcome their social- emotional and behavioural challenges. It is offered to students who experience academic, social and emotional, self-regulation challenges and weak problem-solving skills.

Grades 1 - 3: 9:15 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.

High School Drop-Ins

August 16 - 20
This program provides online modules that will equip students with strategies utilizing the appropriate assistive technology in the area of greatest need, providing an opportunity to foster independence and confidence. Skill highlights: creative writing, researching, gathering, organizing information, test and study skills

Grades 9 - 12:
2 - 1 hour sessions per day - (10 hours total) ONLINE

High School Social Language Skills

July 19 - 30
This camp will focus on functional and essential life skills and career exploration.

Grades 9 - 12:
9:15 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. @ St. Patrick High School (Students who are independent communicators)
12:45 p.m. - 3:15 p.m. @ St. Patrick High School (Students who require supportive communication)

Primary Skills

July 19 - 30
This camp will help students who are entering Grade 1 and 2 to successfully transition into the classroom environment in September 2021. The focus will be on the critical predictors for reading success: oral language development, phonological awareness, alphabet knowledge, and print concepts. Activities to support fine and gross motor skills and social/emotional skills and self-regulation will also be included.

Land Based Camp

August 2 - 6
This land based program will focus on an Indigenized and environmentally-focused approach to learning by first recognizing the deep, physical, mental, and spiritual connection to the land that is a part of Indigenous cultures.

Grades 3 - 5: 9:15 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.
Grades 6 - 8: 12:45 p.m. - 3:15 p.m. @ FWFN Community Centre

Transition to High School

August 16 - 20
With the use of technology, this camp will help to increase confidence and independence with strategies to manage workload, stay on top of tasks, and become a more confident reader and effective writer

Grade 8 students going into grade 9:
2 - 1 hour sessions per day - (10 hours total) ONLINE
